The 2025 Snakebite Film Festival is set to continue its legacy as a vibrant celebration of storytelling, culture, and community.
Founded by Carl Meadows and his husband Les in collaboration with the Arts Rising Festival, the festival began as a small yet ambitious event in Penticton, aiming to spark dialogue around diversity, acceptance, and inclusion.
Over the years, Snakebite has grown into one of the largest winter festivals, drawing audiences from across North America.
Its partnership with the Okanagan Society for Independent Filmmaking (OSIF) has further enriched the festival, offering bursaries for young filmmakers, and supporting the creation of innovative short films.
With over 1200 seats filled in past years, the 2025 festival promises to bring bold visions and powerful narratives to life.
