It happens just once on the annual calendar, at the happiest time of year. Merry & Bright returns to Martini Town this holiday season, transforming the Langley-based outdoor film set—famous for its appearances in popular movies and TV shows—into a festive wonderland.
From November 21st through December 31st (closed select Mondays and Tuesdays), you’ll be able to wander a Hollywood-style backlot, with its quaint facades and authentic sets transformed into a time-limited, must-see holiday wonderland. Santa, of course, will visit nightly, right up until December 23rd. To amplify the feel-good flow, a portion of all proceeds from Merry & Bright will be donated to the Langley Food Bank.
The event features meticulously detailed, nostalgic window displays, reminiscent of iconic department store tableaux, which are updated and enhanced annually. Guests can capture festive photos under a gentle flurry of film-style "snow." While outdoors, the Town Square is covered by a large, clear-roofed tent, offering a cozy environment for performances and protection from inclement weather.
Market Lane, housed in a heated, enclosed tent, will be open daily, showcasing a curated selection of local artisans and businesses, some permanent and others on weekly rotation.
Visitors can enjoy hot seasonal beverages from Martini Café and a variety of food trucks, including Texas Smoke BBQ, Mini Donuts, Urban Wood Fired Pizza, and Tacosaurus. New this year are pop-up shops from Bar Down Bakery and Sticky's Candy, offering a range of sweet treats. A sheltered seating area is available near the food trucks.
Daily entertainment includes Victorian carolers, vintage vocal troupe The Dimes, and local musicians. New immersive entertainment features roaming characters such as "The Green Christmas Grouch" and "The Ice Princess."
